Panoramic view of the Yagna Mantap during Navratri 2013
The Navratri Utsav was celebrated with all solemnity at the Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ashram Jaipur on the sixth, seventh and eighth day of Navratri i.e. 10th to 12th October 2013.
It was decided on 18th September to go ahead with the program, just 21 days and lot of work, but the team knew that HIS blessings and the divine grace of Devi Maa was with them. The Art of Silence program was scheduled to be start on the 5th October, hence the no. of days available on hand were reduced.
Still it was then decided that the Ashram should have a permanent Yagnashala, but seldom did anyone know, the immediate objective of the inpiration.
The venue for the Poojas was all set up and Swami Gunatit ji arrived there. The poojas started with Sri Maha Ganapati Homa. Heart throbbong bhajans were lead by Sri Pravin Mehta.
On the second day of the celebrations after the purnahuti of the morning session it started raining heavily with storms of intensity so stong that it blew away the entire tenting where devotees had to sit. The tenting agency expressed anxity as they required at least a day to restore.
Not a single drop of water had entered the Yagnashala and Vedi areas, and we now came to know the objective of creating a permanent Yagnashala.
Our organising team was unshattered and charged up as they knew that HE is taking care, and so came in the message from Bengaluru Ashram at 4 pm. His blessings and untiring herculian efforts of the volunteers was nothing less than a miracle, the venue was restored in an hours time.
We pondered with blissful tears - was this Devi Maa herself emerging during the Chandi Homa from the havan kund :
That evening witnessed an unprecedented inflow of devotees who kept flocking in till the time of purnahuti.
The next morning was Ashtami. Thousands were showered with blessings of Nav Chandi, and they were mermerised as they went on parikrama and were blessed by Swamiji !
